DESCRIPTION:An intimate evening featuring St. Louis\, MO-based flamenco guitarist & composer Lliam Christy. Known for his beautifully inventive original compositions and passionate performances\, Lliam plays an intriguing mix of traditional Flamenco along with Brazilian\, Cuban Classical\, Popular and some surprises. \n[“Engaging my audience and sharing my music is what energizes and inspires me. My lifetime of studying music\, flamenco\, and music from other parts has shaped my musical voice\, my compositions and sound as a whole.” — Lliam Christy] \nAfter living in Madrid in 2013\, Lliam has been based out of Los Angeles\, CA & St Louis\, MO. As a result\, he has been involved in some great projects and collaborations including: Accompanying Pop singer Pia Toscano (American Idol)\, Morrocan Roll (a Flamenco/ Middle Eastern fusion)\, SEiX (A gypsy/fusion group with Ursula Knudson and Fabrice Martinez of Fishtank Ensemble)\, The Reventones (his own group)\, and occasionally playing with Cuban Maestro Lazaro Galarraga in Sitara Son. Most recently\, in November of 2017 and February of 2018\, Lliam performed as the featured guitarist in the play “Man of La Mancha” in San Luis Obispo\, CA under the direction of Bree Valle at Cuesta College.  \nLliam just received word that the production of “Man of La Mancha” he played in February 15th won best musical 2018 from KCACTF Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. He also received 10 or so other awards for the production.
